Description
Consumers are becoming more and more environmentally conscious and EU authorities are focusing on the green transition. Hence, specific labelling requirements apply to cosmetic products in the European Union.
Complying with packaging requirements is one of the biggest challenges that cosmetic manufacturers face today when entering the EU market. With this webinar, we would like to shed some light on the matter.
In this 30-minute webinar, our speaker will provide an overview of the existing requirements for labels and packaging of cosmetic products and some insights into future regulatory developments.
Furthermore, packaging waste labelling requirements are not harmonised at the EU level. Hence, EU Member States can implement their own law on recycling symbols and obligations. The second part of the webinar is dedicated to such provisions as they have been implemented in some countries.
In the webinar, our speaker will cover the following topics:
-
- Labelling requirements according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation (1223/2009)
- Cosmetic claims and their substantiation
- EU proposal for a directive on the communication and substantiation of green claims
- Special environmental labelling requirements in France, Spain, and Italy
