May 17, 2021 – Once the Product Information Files has enclosed all evidence of conformity, the EU notification to the CPNP must be completed by the designated Responsible Person.
In order for the notification to be done, the following requirements must be met:
- Responsible Person has been designated.
- The Product Information File is compiled and it holds evidence of conformity.
- The product is compliant and ready to be placed on the European market.
Once the cosmetics product has been notified to the CPNP, it may be placed on any market of the EU member states, as long as the labelling is in conformity with any particular national requirements, e.g. the language requirements of the respective country .
Once the CPNP Notification has been done, the product is assigned a CPNP reference code.
