Description

In December 2022, the US Government published a new law on cosmetic products, MoCRA, which establishes several new requirements for cosmetics manufacturers and their products to enter the US market.

MoCRA resembles in many ways the EU Cosmetics Regulation (1223/2009); however, there are several differences. Cosmetic manufacturers must be aware of such differences when planning to sell their products in those territories as regulatory compliance.

In this webinar, our speakers provide an overview of the differences mentioned above and clarify the essential elements to ensure compliance of cosmetic products in the European Union and the United States. In particular, they cover the following topics:

    • Route to the EU market
    • EU Cosmetics Regulation – Main elements for compliance
    • Differences in the classification of cosmetic products in the EU and US
    • Introduction to Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act 2022 and key definitions
    • MoCRA main provisions
    • Preparing for MoCRA – Tips for cosmetic brands
    • Q&A
