From 5 May to 28 July 2025, stakeholders from the cosmetic industry can submit their feedback on the current EU rules. After a first call for evidence conducted between February and March, this targeted public consultation is seeking replies on questions on the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, consistency, and objectives at EU-level.
What are the objective?
The public consultation aims at collecting information on the functioning of the Cosmetic Products Regulation in the European Union. The consultation objectives are:
- Validation of topics and issues covered by the evaluation.
- Gathering of information, data, views, opinions, and experience on the implementation of the Regulation.
- Gathering of views on the Regulation’s relevance, taking into account scientific, economic, social, and other developments.
Who can submit feedback?
All interested stakeholders are welcome to take part in the consultation. This includes, but is not limited to: public administrations, national and regional authorities (such as market surveillance and law enforcement bodies, including customs), industry and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) associations, consumer groups, academic and scientific institutions, businesses (such as manufacturers, importers, and distribution intermediaries like retailers, postal services, and logistics providers), suppliers as well as non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working in health, environmental, and consumer protection.
